A gentle face sponge for even those with sensitive and acne prone skin. Our Charcoal Facial Sponge is created in Japan using the roots of the Konnyakku plant. The vegetable fibers are purified and spun into a puff that is incredibly water-retentive. When used, there is a water barrier between sponge and skin which means it cleanses without scratching or irritating. Your face will love it!

- Made from Konyakku plant infused with charcoal to help draw out impurities
Product use
- For first use: soak the sponge in warm water for 10-15 minutes until it puffs up and rehydrates. It will expand about 50% and be soft and squishy like sponge cake
- For subsequent use: soak briefly in warm water in the shower to rehydrate.
- Wet the sponge and make a small lather with your facial bar.
- Rub in circular motions to remove dirt from pores without scratching the skin
- Rinse out completely then press between palms to remove excess water from sponge and hang dry
Product care
- Recommend to sanitize sponge or replace after 3 months
- To sanitize sponge, boil it in water
- Replace sponge after 6 months
- Do not use if you see mold or bacteria growth
- Do not use if it smells funny or becomes discoloured
- Never wring out the sponge as this may damage or alter its shape
How is this product sustainable?
- As the sponge is made of plant fibres, it is biodegradable / compostable at end of product life
- Reduces the use of facial exfoliators that are made of plastic microbeads
