Like a fresh, sunny Italian summer in a bottle, the Italian Bergamot or Citrus Bergamia is a bright, fragrant essential oil. Research points to bergamot essential oil's ability to reduce inflammation, lower cholesterol levels, and amp up your mood. It helps relieve stress and anxiety too. 

Product use

• Add a little drop to your tea for the earl grey flavour
• Add a few drops in your shampoo, it is known to help an irritated scalp
• Use a teeny-tiny bit in your skincare routine to help with blackheads, acne and whiteheads
• For a summery, fresh and wonderful diffuser moment, use this recipe: 4 drops of Peppermint oil, 2 drops of Italian Bergamot oil, 1 drop of Spanish Cypress oil

Product caution

• As with any essential oil, use Italian Bergamot oil diluted with a carrier oil; Italian Bergamot oil can cause skin irritation or allergic reactions in some people. It can also cause photosensitivity, and should not be left on skin that will be exposed to sunlight
• Dilution ratio: 1 drop of Italian Bergamot oil in a 10ml bottle, 8-12 drops in a 30ml bottle
• Dilution ratio for ingesting: 1 drop of Italian Bergamot oil to about 100ml of liquid; you can add it to your tea for a calming brew
• Italian Bergamot oil blends well with avocado oil, grapeseed oil, and olive oil. It also goes well with other carrier oils such as coconut oil, jojoba oil, and sweet almond oil. For best results, blend it with similar Mediterranean origin carrier oils
